What year is my Airstream

I have an inherited Airstream that I'm not sure of the year. How do I figure it out? It's a Landyacht. Is the vin # on the A-frame?

Welcome to the Forum and the World of Airstreams.
The most common location is on the plaque under the window to the front of the door. Not sure if the '80s? trailers had a stamping on the "A" frame.
Barring that option, posting a few pics will bring results.

If it's the trailer you have in your profile, the year will be the tenth character on the VIN plate on the front left corner of the trailer. If it's an '84, the letter should be "E".

Vin

Thanks for the help. I found the manufacture date on a plaque below the front window. 7-28-1975. I also found the vin# on plaque beside door. Now I want to get a feel for the value. I'd love to keep and restore, but that's out of my means.

Can you post that vin number? It might have been built in 1975, but it might be a 76 since it is near the end of july.
Sorry to hear you are not keeping it. Airstreaming is a life changing experience.

You can look through this Vintage Archive and match up the VIN# to identify your trailer more exactly - or post it here and someone will decipher it for you.

Check out this Price vs Condition website for information to help evaluate your trailer. Be sure to read through the whole thing in order to fully understand the condition before jumping to the chart for your "bottomline".

Good luck in whatever you decide to do!
