title mess

I just traded for a 1973 31 foot sovereign from a friend of the family< only to find out there are title issues. Does anyone know of any way to get a west virginia title for a vehicle that is no longer registered. I guess if i cant get it registered, i will have a complete trailer to sell for parts, bummer i was certainly looking forward to enjoying the airstream... thanks for any info

Welcome to the forums.

My suggestion would be to call a tag office in the state in which the trailer was last tagged. This would assumedly be the state in which the title was issued.

They would best be able to give you instructions on how to have a new title issued. Usually not a terribly difficult process, if one keeps in mind it will be a bureaucratic pain the #ss to start with.
