Hey I've got a oldie but goodie...You know we all have those red numbers on the front of our ASs' I had almost buffed the tail tell sign of mine on this one awhile back and wrote it down/ then lost it...but the other day I looked up and saw the faint features of it showing....once I recover this Number, what can I do with it, and what is it all about?

The red numbers are the WBCCI membership numbers of the previous owner. The numbers are assigned to the people and the same number can potentially be on multiple trailers if the member has owned multiple trailers.
If you are interested in joining the club, then you can check to see if the old number is available (the PO is not using it any longer) and request to have it reinstated as your membership number.
As far as removing the ghost of the old number - that can be tough. Polishing (or panel replacement ) are about the only ways.

Well, tonight I am going out in the National Geographic Mode to carefully study the faint image. Then I am going to post it here and I want you all to run the number for me...What I have heard is this one was owned by a model/actress, and this was her dressing room and she stored her clothes in here...plus there is leopard skin print carpet ha! ...interesting.

It all depends on when the previous owner(s) were members.I take it that it is the 1970 Overlander this number is on.The 1970 Directory listing is for a Charles & Henrietta Johnson from Illinois, the 1982 directory lists them from Arkansas. They do not appear in the 1984 Directory.
No caravans listed for the Johnsons.
Can you help me hunt down PO info, caravens etc for my 1964 Safari? Travel decals on inside door says it’s been to Florida, Maine, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick,&…Disneyland.
I’ll leave the WBCC ghost numbers alone. It’s #10325. There is also what may be ghost of previous owners name in 1” letters on right front corner panel near scare light.
Appears it may read: The Leetzow’s Bloomington, Ill
Paper work inside trailer stated: Registered by Airstream, Serial number S022420256, April 16,1964. Sold by Mann’s Mobile Home Sales, Springfield Ill.

Thanks
It did belong to the Leetzow's.I will pm you some details.
This is another case where a directory from the 70's would have been really helpful to me.

yes, ...wait a minute...I'm looking...there seems to be a baseball sized ghost ring in the carpet right between the sinks and refrigerator....lol, but to you streamer, there is a ghost marking of a round sticker above the numbers, and yes this is the 1970 airstream...and when I looked closer I could make out the words...Wally Byam Caravan Club in the upper part of the sticker..(very faded)
