Registration Issues - Please Help!!!

I just bought a 2009 25' flying cloud thatwas registered in Vancouver BC but the previous owner bought it new from Sutton rv in Eugene. I'm having a hard time register in oregon because Vancouver BC doesn't a use Title as an ownership document. He did signed over the registration and gave me the bill of sale.

Please help if you gone through this process.

thanks

When we bought our '72 airstream four years, it was registered in Alabama, which does not title a trailer that old. The PO had an email from the Alabama DMV that stated that the State of Alabama does not issue titles for 1972 trailer RV's. That email, along with the signed over registration and bill of sale was what we needed to get a title in Minnesota.

Try contacting the Vancouver DMV and see if they will send you a letter or email stating that they did not issue a title for the trailer, just a registration. Perhaps the PO can help you get in touch with the DMV.

thanks

Thank you for your story and recommendations. We did contact both the Vancouver BC DMV and the main Oregon DMV offices and it looks like we DID have all the necessary documents. There may have been some new or not very well trained staff at our local DMV office. We will bring the documents we have and register again Friday. We were told to give the DMV office the number of the main DMV office if they had questions. Crossing our fingers for a smoother transaction the second time around.
