Pre '66 serial number chart

Once upon a time I had in my possession a chart that clarified serial numbers going back as far as at least '59. I've since lost it. In trying to track it down it appears as if much of the document archives have gone away.

The list was pretty comprehensive as far as year, length, OH vs CA, and manufacture sequence number. I can't remember exactly how far it went back but I used it to ID my '59 Ambassador and it was helpful in identifying a '55 Cruiser/Overlander I looked at. I think it was a .pdf file but I'm not sure.

Does anyone have something that sounds like this list in there files?

has pictures of lots of vintage trailers. Included is the serial number format by factory of each of the year/models.

I found that one earlier. The one I had was much more thorough. It had number formats for each model offered broken down by year right on the list.

The page you sent was also useful in cross referencing and identifying models but the list I had previously was only useful for deciphering serial numbers. It was very useful for that though.

The old chart that was on the Airstream website was not perfect. It had some issues, but was better than nothing. The listings at The Vintage Airstream Photo Archives are likewise pretty good, but also have several issues.

I want to create a more complete and correct list someday, but just can't seem to find the time to do so as it would take a while to compile from raw data from various sources. So many other priorities . . . maybe I can get to that next winter.
