Most of us live in states that allow customized license plates. Some can have custom plates on their Airstreams, some only allow tow vehicles. We know Bruno in France is a collector so I thought it might be interesting to share some of the plates we have seen that are Airstream related and are or were attached to your Airstream or tow vehicle. For some of you, I think in California, get at least 8 characters to work with. Here in Missouri we get 6. So our possiblities are far less....as a matter of fact we sometimes have to misspell to get a unique combo.
For example my plates on my tow vehicle spell RIVITS. Not quite right but you know someone outstate who is probably an iron worker has the correct spelling....but you make it work with what you've got.
I think I have seen an Illinois plate at a rally that spelled WBCCI.
Unfortunately we can't get custom plates for the trailers.
I didn't even think about asking the premium until Twink brought that up below. It's $15 in Missouri.
How 'bout you?.... Bruno, chime in if you have some interesting ones.

Michigan just switched to a permanent trailer plate system last year. Before that you could get Vanity plates or even run vintage on the trailer. They allowed people to grandfather their existing plates when the switch came, I missed getting my '55 plate and registering by just a couple weeks. Oh well, we clip it on while parked, thought it would save people asking about it, but they see the '55 plate and say "It's THAT old?!"

In California we get seven letters/numbers. I just ordered "foot s54" for the Liner.

I looked into personal / vanity plates once and the cost was up there to buy the plate. The yearly sticker was not too bad though. The rules are kind of hard to follow, but I think you get a break by adding numbers.
I was thinking;
AMBASDR
28 FOOT
1967 AS
CORNING
