Checking VIN History?

Looked at a used Airstream over the weekend and took
down the vin #. Is there a way to check the history of the
trailer like you can on a used car? I have googled the vin and nothing showed up. There was no lience plate to take a
number down. I did check vin against Airstream code and
it looks like it would be a valid vin. They are saying it's a
2006 and the vin shows 2005 model.

When A/S searching in June 2008, we emailed carfax.com to see about getting a report for an A/S trailer we were considering, like the reports they generate for used cars.

Short answer, no.

If you can't check vin then how do you know if the trailer
is salvaged or stolen? With todays technology it wouldn't
be hard to forge a fake title.
