avion title

Hi all.
Looking at an Avion but have zero info on it. I'm attempting to go see it today or tomorrow so I'm doing some pre-legwork now.

Best case scenario, it's registered here and the owner has the title (and the person selling is the owner). If that's the case, is it a matter of transfering the title to me? I'm searching for how one does that here in Colorado. Saying that, any resources I can peruse to follow the correct process?

Worst case, it's not registered so no title, it's from out of state, etc.

If there's no title, you can register it in Vermont and then get it titled in your state if you like, or leave it registered in Vermont. You'll have to do some internet searching so see how its all done. Its not difficult, just a matter of filling out the correct paperwork.

It has a "Permanent" Michigan plate and the owner is tracking down the title. She claims to have it. Thanks for the input.
