I guess they work 9 hour shifts and 4 hours on Friday. I know when I was there they break together and take lunch at the same time. They have a bell that rings and everything. I'm pretty sure they aren't union, though. From what I've read, unions have tried to organize but were always voted out by the plant workers...seems they are content with the "deal" Airstream already gives them and the unions can't offer that much more.

So is that a hint that 1969 is the magic year of high production?

If that's the case 1/2 of my guess in post #47 would be correct, but for some reason I have a suspicion it's another ?9.

Then again the "9" could be as in "19XX", a trick clue to say the least. Of course the answer HAS to have a "9" in it. 2air, you are one slick streamer.

Squarestream Production Statistics

HELLO 2AIR AND OTHER PRODUCTION HELPERS
I AM TRYING TO DO THE HISTORY OF THE ARGOSY(1986-1988) AND THE AIRSTREAM(1989-1991)SQUARESTREAM TRAILERS.TO HELP WITH THIS I HAVE STARTED A SQUARESTREAM REGISTRY.LIKE EVERYONE I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW MANY WHERE MADE.BUT LIKE MOST OF YOU KNOW AIRSTREAM IS NO HELP.THEY HAVE NEVER EVEN ANSWERED ANY OF MY LETTERS THAT ASK ANYTHING ABOUT SQUARESTREAMS(LAND YACHT).
ONE THING I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW DO YOU THINK THE SEQUENTIAL NUMBER OF THE VIN NUMBER WAS USED ONLY ON THE SQUARESTREAM LINE OR USED ON ALL PRODUCTION LINES,IN OTHER WORDS WOULD THE LAST 6 NUMBER TELL ME HOW MANY SQUARESTREAMS WHERE MADE OR JUST HOW MANY AIRSTREAMS WHERE MADE IN A GIVEN TIME?
IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME WITH THE HISTORY OR HAS/CAN GET VIN # AND DATE MADE OF SQUARESTREAMS I WOULD LIKE YOU TO POST INFO ON TRAILER FORUM UNDER SQUARESTREAM,OR PM ME ANY INFO.
THANK YOU FOR THE HELP
