Question 260502t

This is the only VIN numbers on my 26 ft Overlander. My title states it is a 1973 but I think a 1960. Can anyone tell me the correct year for the VIN #260502T. Thanks JP

Your Airstream, is a 1960 26 footer, twin bed.

That comes from my old Airstream serial number sequence book.

Paste the above into your browser. It's an Airstream Factory site and will help you. Also a few pics would really help. Your VIN appears to be a 60 not sure what the T represents.

I beg to differ with regards to the "O" standing for Overlander...that's based on a faulty document that has roamed around in the Airstream archives for years. It mistakenly indicates a "0" (zero) as an "O" (letter). It stated the "O" stands for Overlander when in actuality it is intended as a "0" (zero) which is just a placeholder when the "Land Yacht" level of finish is present. "I" was used for "International" finishes.

The term "Overlander" has always stood for a length of trailer, not a level of finish.

Regardless, the "T" indicates a twin bed layout.

60 Overlander
