Vintage motorhome insurance

New buyer of our 1976 motorhome are having difficulty insuring. Who are you with? The buyers are being told by several companies they will need it appraised, or they will only go by blue book is far less than they are purchasing it for. Is there an appraiser in the Metro Detroit Area?
We never had this issue when we purchased it. Our State farm agent just added the motorhome onto our policy.

I'm wondering if State Farm was also using NADA or Blue Book to determine value and you just weren't aware of it. If they are using some other method that is more realistic to the value of the MH, why don't the buyers use State Farm?

I insured my 1977 Argosy MH with Progressive.
No problems.
I could set up the insurance with different modes of setting the 'value'.
I choosed that the value was set at what I actually just
purchased it for.
No need for it to be appraised.
Very helpful folks. Great customer service.

We weren't able to get "agreed value" insurance from Progressive's website. We found "agreed value" insurance without an appraisal through Farm and City.
