Trailer Insurance Help

Hello Everyone,

We just received our insurance renewal for our Airstream and once again for whatever reason unknown to us the policy has been increased to a very shocking amount! We have no claims and no changes to our policy but it does seem that this is the norm in Ontario when it comes to insurance rates. I am hoping that some of you might have suggestions for other good insurance companies in Ontario. Any ideas or suggestions would be very helpful.

Thank you

I can’t speak to your exact situation but I can tell you we were shocked at the premium for our 2017 FC. One thing I did was to increase the deductible to $2000. That made a big difference. I figured any claim worth making on an Airstream would be more than $2K anyway.
Good luck.

It looks like all RVs took a big hit this year. 25% increase seems to be common.

Thank you for the replies. We will be sending out some request for new possibilities next week. It is shocking that we are now looking at paying more for the AS than our home per year! Thank you and happy trails!

Try monthly Geico

I don't know if this works in Canada but we do comprehensive only when not towing. Then with a day advance notice we can switch to full coverage when we're on the road. Saves a lot of money.
