Please bear in mind that my driving record is perfect and I am a homeowner. If anyone could lend some insight to the quote and what they have found, I would appreciate it.

I should mention that my quote is based on the fact that if there is a complete loss, I would receive a total pay out of exactly what was spent on the unit when purchased new. This quote is NOT for the value of the unit at the time of accident.

Value Insured - $38,000
Comprehensive - $250 deductible with full glass
Collision - $250 deductible
Vacation Liability - $10,000
Personal Items - $5,000

The quote for 12 months was $1,217

This seems reasonable to me, but being that I have never shopped for RV insurance before, I don't know what would be considered a good price.

Is there any other insurance companies that you would reccomend I check out?
I'm just purchasing a 2006 25' safari fb. Value $33K. Farmers quoting $124.00. we do have home & auto ins with them also so that helps reduce. Good luck! the cost

Mine is insured with American Modern at about $400 per year. It has been about that since new.

The AAA agent told me today that unless I get an appraisal I will only get blue book value if something goes wrong. I have not seen any blue book value for As older than 1975 with booked at $1195. Where do I get an appraiser in Idaho? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I have a 2010 FC FB 25 and full coverage with $1000.00 deductable replacement cost is $410.00/6 mos. Being in Iowa I put it in storage part of the year @269.00/6 mos.

My insurance is through Good Sam/GMAC and I have car, truck and house also on policy.

Where you live is going to have a BIG part in your premiums.

We insured our 2010 FC FB 25 with Progressive this year when we purchased the unit for agreed upon/purchase value.

I was told by our agent today that when the policy comes up for renewal next year that Progressive will no longer offer this option. I have not heard this directly from Progressive - but if this is the case, I will be looking at other options to keep agreed/purchase value if possible.

You may want to get a quote from National Interstate. They charge us about $650 per year for our 2010 Classic Limited with full replacement, etc.

We started our new '06 Safari insurance with Progressive. It was a total replacement policy -- and I insured for a small amount less than what we paid. I insure most of our other policies with USAA. So a couple years back I called USAA at renewal time and my call was forwarded to "Progressive, USAA desk." Clearly, USAA subbed their RV insurance out to Progressive.

Declaring a 10K less value at USAA it would have cost me $500 more per year. I wouldn't have had an opportunity ever to return to my original Progressive insured amount had I gone with 10K less at USAA. Clearly I stayed with Progressive.

New insured vs. renewing? Guess I'll have to see what is available when I have to renew in 10 months. Grrr....

I have my insurance through Progressive, via USAA. I was wondering can you get coverage for storage (6 months) vs. being on the road (or full coverage)?

HI does anyone know who I would go to get an RV appraisal in CT? Would it be a home appraiser? Car appraiser? vintage car appraiser?
Thanks

I just called my State Farm agent today on a 2012 25' International Signature. With $250 deductible, and replace cost, it was $420. Another important factor is how are they really if you make a claim. I've been very happy with State Farm over the years. Also experience Progressive with a claim and they were very good as well.
