Insurance Question

Hello everyone,I just spoke w/my insurance co. to obtain coverage for our 71 Safari.Homeowners will cover up to $1000.00 while on property.My auto insurance co. is who will cover it.But they will only cover up to what I paid for it.Not that I think that it is as sought after as some vintage models but I dont think I can replace it for what we paid,or find another 14 miles away.Is there a special company I need to look for or is this the industry standard.Thankyou and everyone have a safe and blessed 07.

Hi bertro, there are several threads on this subject, so please check out the search feature. In general, you'll want to find an insurance company who will insure your Airstream for agreed value (you may need to get an appraisal in order to do this). It helps if you keep a record of ebay sales of similar trailers, as well as documentation of all money you have spent on repairs, improvements, etc. We had good luck with Progressive insurance. What you need to get is an agreed value policy.

If you can show what you did and document it with bills and pic's and what it would cost to replace it in the market place.
