Insurance for Vintage Airstream

Well, after years of being sidelined, I've tuned the old 1976 Globetrotter up and I'm ready to hit the road. However, I tried to obtain insurance for it last week and they only want to write the policy for NADA value (which is $1,875.00). Now, I know the insurance company does not want to write a policy for a pig in a poke, but this trailer is in very nice condition. I figure its value to be many times what the worthless NADA guide is saying, but to no avail, I am still left without insurance.

Does anyone have any experience on getting a reasonable ins. policy for a vintage era trailer?

My vehicle insurance is with Farmers and the trailer is covered for stated value under a rider on the vehicle policy. Full comp and collision for about $100 a year. This was true when I had a vintage trailer as well.

Note that when I first called, the agent wanted to write a separate policy for over $400. I just had to find the right person.
