Since all the providers get about the same reviews, I'm guessing they make a deal with a tow company to accept a flat rate for service. Less than you'd pay calling the same service, but they can throw a lot of business their way.
Kind of like Medicare for RV's.
So if a tow truck doesn't feel like accepting that rate, they just leave you sit.
My Coach Net expires in September and I really don't know what to do. I'll check with my auto insurance first for a rider.
To me, the main "risk" with the insurance policy rider is that the "other option" may have a bigger set of contacts. There's no way to know so that's only a random guess. They may all just get on the internet and start looking up tow outfits when you call ..... who knows ... That was certainly the impression Coach Net gave me.
