2017 Purchase Price and Finance Rates??

Curious what the going finance rates are for most new buyers, as well as what sort of negotiating leeway people are getting? Primarily around the DFW Texas Areas?

Finally.....looking to make a purchase within the next 6 months, on a 2017 FC 27 FB Twin, with Awning Package & Back-Up Camera.

We have been looking / talking with VOGT there in North Richland Hills/DFW for a year, but have not talked $$$ as of yet.

Just doing all my calculations for overall "best price" out the door. How much are buyers getting off...10, 15, 20%??

Excellent Credit Score, so curious if someone has a contact for a low rate?? Looking at between a 7-10 year loan.

Thanks in advance!!

Should be able to get 15-20% off list.

As for loan rates, check out your local credit union. I have found them to have the best rates for our area. Our credit union has rates of 2.74 for 7 years, and 3.74 for 10 a year loan. This includes a 0.25% discount for having auto pay set up.

We bought dealers last 2016 / 26U only after trying to buy a late model 27ft unit, kept missing them or price was too much.
On a 2017 we were quoted between 15-22% off, we ended up getting the 2016 for 34% off ( had to take it)

There are a few online sites that you can get quotes from , your local dealer should match it.
Try redirect.com

Thanks!! That is the info I needed so I can crunch my numbers! Very much appreciated. I will say that the few times I have posted some questions, I have received many responses and great feedback since joining. Very impressed with the forum and members.

Thank you!

I must say, that I always find it humorous that people want to buy an RV to see this great country, then they say I don't want to drive more than 300 miles to get it. Why limit yourself to DFW area, find the best price wherever that may be and plan your first best vacation for the drive home.
Your buying a new unit, so you get the 2 year warranty and service at any dealer, if it was used then I could see staying local to work out service into the deal, but not so much for new.

Otherwise - just read another thread and this guy seems pretty happy

Give Bayer RV in Dublin a call when you are ready to move forward. We just picked up a 23FB there last week and they were a great bunch of folks to work with. When we put in our zip code in the Airstream site (Houston area) they don't show up as a dealer, maybe you have better luck with a Fort Worth zip code. If not, look them up on the internet. Steve was great to work with.

And you can tour the Dublin Bottling Works while in the area, and added bonus.

In November of the then current year, I bought a new FC 27 FB that had been on the dealer's lot for several months for 20% off MSRP; although I should say it took me significant time to find a dealer willing to sell a new AS for 20% off. Most of them were around 15-18% & some would hardly discount at all.

On this subject, do the units that never sit on the lots get similar discounts? It seems that Sport 22FBs are very popular and they are always selling fresh off the next delivery truck.

Since new Airstreams are only sold through authorized dealers, that limits the purchase choice significantly. The model year ends in June, so there is pressure to get rid of the prior year inventory starting in July.

The Airstream website has links to every dealership. One can take a look see all over the country at their inventory (and some dealers even show what is on order) from the privacy of their home. If there is a model of interest, go the nearest dealer and sit and visualize what being in that model for extended periods of time might be like.

Read the forum about the pros and cons of the various models.

The factory is about six months behind in their order processing. A dealer can change an existing order within about six weeks of the production start date (and they know when that is) to what ever model and options you want to order. Your are not limited to their on hand stock. Having said that, the limited edition models (usually just 100 are made) are usually spoken for by the larger dealers and can be harder to obtain.

The best price we found was from RVdirect.com. They were about 22% under MSRP on both 2017 AS models we looked at (27 FB & 28 RBQ). We were quoted 3.99% financing on a 20 year term.
