I have seen this bidder bid on alot of stuff Airstream. Maybe he's a collector. Seems like alot for a very nice trailer but way out of my league.

Six month long complete restoration back to like new. I'm at work right now, but I'll send you a link to some pics when I get home this afternoon.

Just another thought...they come so sporadically. What about when it leaks? I'll bet this is the designer's first Airstream, and he doesn't realize that leaking is what A/S do best. All that Honduran mahogany (or whatever), and Willy-Dilly designer carpeting is going a good soaking.... Just wait 'til the buyer comes back with the warranty claim on that.

What do you expect when there's a spot light in the shower floor? No curtain on the window just makes sense...doesn't it?

Well, the auction closed and he didn't get his price. I wonder if he'll re-list it?
Didn't Ralph Lauren do some designer 'streams and sell them at an obnoxious price?

Well - I have to confess, I didn't think it would sell, but it wouldn't have surprised me if it did. Someone will buy it eventually.

Who can tell what the reserve was? The video link showed him saying he had $128K into it and expected it would draw about $250K. I'll bet you could "win" it for $207,998.
4780# original curb weight w/o options? Is there any accounting for added weight? Rear bath (separation bait). No new axles? It's still a polished turd and should be used as a park model until thoroughly checked out.
Then it would be worth $300K!

I laughed when he said his original budget was $15k... but in the end he spent 128k LOL!
All joking aside, I think there are some great design ideas in this trailer and I bet without the $3000 dollar toilet and who knows what else he over spent on, a trailer like this could be recreated...done right by someone who knows what they are doing and for less than half the money.
One thing I noticed in the video is... how did they bolt the new floor down properly after the new walls were already in?
