value or blue book on 1980 excella 31'

I have been following a 1980 31' AS Excella in very good condition.
I cannot find a NADA value that far back. Does anyone happen to know?

See it at ebay, item #180053690950. Please inform me as to the true value.

Also, any inspectors up Tallahassee way, I will pay them to inspect it wwithin the next three days!

Thanks to all... -David

Good morning David -- and welcome to the Forums!

"True value" may be getting fairly specific. Your research will give you an idea of what similar units might sell for. This would come from having followed the classifieds here, at the VAC classifieds -- and I think there are some over at Some general condition & pricing issues are at Price vs. Condition.

This eBay offering looks to be from a dealer and they have a reserve price set. It's hard to say anything accurate about that. eBay auction prices can go crazy the last couple of hours, so expect this to go a fair amount higher than the current $7700 bid.

It might be hard to get an inspector on this short notice. Saturday mornings see a fair amount of Forums readers online but postings often die off at midday. Activity here has been very slow the last 48 hours. Have an alternate plan?

It is worth what someone is willing to pay for it I would suspect it is "worth" in the low to mid $9k range, based on sales tracking and research. It possibly could sell for $10k or so. It appears very clean with none of the obvious issues that crop up on a 26 year old trailer. Unfortunately pictures are a poor substitute for a personal visit. They don't let you smell and touch very well It appears to be a well maintained unit.

Tallahassee is a short drive for you---there is no substitute for seeing the unit yourself.
Of course I'm an elitist. Look around you.
