Value on an '04 Safari

Hey guys. Iv found a 2004 Airstream Safari Excella 26 footer. Its in excellent condition! Looks immaculate on the inside! Has a solar panel, twin axles, queen bed. Its on ebay too which seems to jack prices up. Heres the ad. Don't get a headache reading the mega huge font while he talks in circles.

2004 AIRSTREAM SAFARI EXCELLA 26' SOLAR PANEL REAR QUEEN BED 1/2 TON TOW RV NR in RVs & Campers | eBay Motors

How much do you guys think its worth?

04 Safari

That looks like one incredible Airstream. Wonder how it remained so pristine for a 2004 model? Almost looks to good to be true! Based on the SWAG method of Airstream appraisal I would think between $26 and $30K (popular size+, great condition+, great layout+, 1/2 ton tow+, time of year+, delivery available+, 9 year old trailer-).
SWAG = Some Wild Airstream Guess.

It is a Safari, not an Excella. GVW is 6,300 not 5,300.
Looks clean and nice. Book value is close to the amount of the bid--$16,000. Should go for more, perhaps $20,000. That is another wild guess.
Six sleepers are not as popular as other floorplans. Most AS buyers are couples.
I would not buy anything on Ebay without inspecting it and checking out the seller.

That is a really nice looking trailer. My guess is the trailer will sell at auction for a minimum of $25K. Unless it has significant floor rot or other major problems that are not shown.

This one appears to be one worth the drive to look at first hand, if it meets your needs.

If it really exists, it looks quite nice. I'm pretty sure several of those pictures have been making the rounds on the Craigslist scams in TX, OK, AR, LA. Perhaps the eBay seller has the real trailer, but I don't like the imaginary model (it's a 25 and as previously noted, not an Excella), the lack of VIN in the auction listing, and the giant-bold-multicolor-print poorly-written listing copy isn't that impressive either.

I'd want to see the trailer in person before I bid on it.

I agree, looks like a legit deal, but if I was going to spend $16,000+ I would have to go kick the tires and talk to the seller in person. There might be more AS's sold to families if there was more of the 6 sleeper and bunkhouse type trailers available. My only complaint on our classic is the lack of sleep space when we take the granddaughters along.

If he says its in excellent condition, I bid and win, and if its anything less than excellent condition, Id walk away. Even though bidding on eBay is a "contract", they cant MAKE me spend $16,000+ on something that's misrepresented. No concerns there!

And as most of you noticed, it shot up to $16,000 in a day and still has 5 days left... Im sure this one is going to go WAY above my budget!

I see the bidding is all of the way up to $24,600 with two days left. It looks like SStar may have made an accurate estimate of the sell price.

04 Airstream

That sure makes me a lot prouder of my old 04 Classic. Anyway, it would be real hard to spend $28K on ebay.

Since it was misrepresented in several ways, it would not be difficult to back out of this deal when going to pick up, or just when verifying it had what was listed. Queen bed?? Large bedroom and bathroom?? Slide outs?? Water capacity 71-80 gal.?? Etc.
