Value of airstream 1992
We need to sell an airstream 1992 excellla 29 that our grandpa lived in for the last 10 years in Boise . Previous owner was his brother and they traveled around the country for a few years in it before it was parked their house. When the brother passed away they gave it to our grandpa to live in at the trailer park. It is hoarded and in fair condition. He never hooked up the water or sewer since it has been parked at the trailer park. He liked to use the YMCA nearby and was very stubborn about not hooking up the water or sewer. He only hooked up the electric.
Everything is still original. It has not been driven since 2006.
We need to sell it as soon as we can and I'm not really sure I want to spend the time cleaning it out except for all the basic junk in there.
What do you think would be a fair price to list it at or at least to start with and have wiggle room to come down?
Thank you for ANY help or advice !!!!!

One think I noticed in the photo with the awning extended is the way you have connected the support struts incorrectly. This could lead to damage of the awning and diminished value. The supports need to be connected to the ends of the roller assembly.

Sorry, I can't help you on the asking price, but don't take a low-ball as even shell off total restorations can be work good money.

I think a trailer that age and size in good condition would be worth maybe $12000 to $15000. If I was looking for a trailer and saw the one you have in the condition it was in and with the history I would not take it for free. So I am going to guess that if you start at 7500 and come down considering offers that might do it. Or not! If I was in your shoes and did not want to clean it up, etc. I might consider a low ball offer if I got one.

I agree, in the current condition the trailer has no value. There could be numerous issues that can not be seen with all the trash. Floor rot, rodents and other damage would need to be determined. My recommendation would be to rent a dumpster and empty the trailer and then evaluate the condition.

Thank you all for taking time to reply. I agree. Was going to start around 700O and could settle for three or 4000 if I do you not want to put work in it before I try to sell it. Not a lot of time on my hands.

I think it could be worth more than $7000
I did see what appears to be mold on cabinets but a thourough cleaning and removal of every single article that is not Airstream related and Check and test of the water system could go a long way to getting a better price
This is a trailer that is relatively rare. Not many 29' AS out there and this model year can be pulled with a mid sized truck (speaking from experience not speculation)
Seriously think your expectations are too low, unless there are serious issues that as yet are unlnown.

I have had a 1969 Sovereign and now have a 1993 Excella 32'. If I were buying it I would be inclined to stay on the low end because of all of the unknowns, e.g., water lines, holding tanks, water heater, flooring, furnace, air conditioner, etc. While many forum members have the skills to address these issues, they take time and money. For the items one might choose to have repaired professionally it takes even more money. And, I haven't mentioned the axels and tires. If I were buying it $4,000.00 is the most I would pay. I would even like $3,500.00 better.
I am not trying to be harsh just realistic. Additionally, it would take about two days to empty the contents. I wish you well and am sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss. 4k to 6k would be the range if it was mine to sell. We lost a dear friend recently and we gave 6k for her Excella 31’ in similar condition. All my Airstream friends around here agreed I got a great deal. The body on ours was almost perfect with no dents and few scratches. It looks like some hail dents from your picture which is why I might go toward 4K but I would go no lower. Best of luck.

Our deepest sympathy on your loss, I would get a dumpster and suit up in bio hazard gear before cleaning that mess.
It would be hard to value in that condition
