Valuation

Greetings:

We are planning to move to South America, and thus must sell our beloved Lily, who is a 2008 FB 27 Safari. Along with the trailer, we are planning also to sell our 2006 Dodge truck. What are they worth, or more clearly, what is a fair price for each?

The trailer has ultraleather upholstery, factory installed solar panels, glass mat batteries, no television, Hensley Arrow hitch. We have lived full time here, since July 2007. Miles towed: approximately 25,000.

The truck: 41,000 miles, Cummins diesel, AT, tow package, short wheel base, 4WD, new tires, tonneau cover, bike racks. Color: Grey.

They are a matched set, although we bought the truck used with 6,000 miles. The trailer we bought new. Both are in great condition, with a few mild dents on the trailer.

Comments Most Appreciated. JC

nice rig. I see trucks like that with double that or more miles on them advertised for just under $30,000. I would think it would sell pretty easily for near that. I would consider selling the truck and trailer separately unless you get a really good offer for both since there will be come Cummins lovers who do not need a trailer. At least price them each and then do not lowball the package. Check the Dodge forums and some of the Cummins related websites and dealers. We have the same truck in a 07 (made in 06) with 95000 miles on it and it has been a nice truck.

Can not help with the trailer. It sounds like an awful nice one and is about what people seem to be buying these days. Probably a lot of people are dreaming about finding a lightly used 27FB a couple of years old when they go to bed at night.
