Thank you. I'll post pics in the future as the trailer is a ways away. Where do you find the manufacture dates? I've got another AS which I think is a 48 or 49 but I don't have the info on it handy.
RJ's website has the best archive of vintage Airstreams on the 'net. It gives an overview of serial number sequences along with pictures by model and year. It is not to be missed.
It is also great for studying the pictures to either identify the model layout that would suit your needs or seeing what your trailer looked like originally or seeing what others have done to theirs.
