Need help 1973 Overlander

Hello, my name is luke and I'm new to this website and was in need of some help from anyone with experience. I own 20 acres up by saint cloud and there is a 1973 Overlander that i believe is 27 feet long with the bathroom in the back end. now this overlander has been sitting for the last twelve years and been used asa hunting shack and place to camp. the inside carpets and appliances are shot and useless at this point as you can imagine. im looking for something newer and smaller and wondering if this is worth trying to sell or if even the shell is worth money. I just have no idea where to start with what to do on this trailer

Can you post photos? If the shell is intact and dent free, that would be a good start.

This is rather interesting. The appliances may be shot, if they have been abused, but then again they may be ok. My appliances are all 46 years old and they all work fine.

Photos would be very helpful.

There are people who have sold units like this on EBAy or through Craigslist. Beware of the scammers. If it has set this long, it may need major repair before it can be moved. Aluminum prices are fairly high right now but it is still worth more as a shell than the price of aluminum. many scrap yards will not take complete units.

It probably won't need too much to move it, depending on how far. The main thing is if the tires will hold air and aren't too rotten. If someone felt ambitious they could grease the bearings and get the brakes going. Good chance the tailights are not working a light bar on the rear bumper will take care of that. A fair price for as is where is that you describe would be 2-3K but prices have been going up.

Yes, even if the trailer is total junk, there is always good value in it even if it's only as junk. Aluminum is one of the easiest metals to recycle.

But as you will doubtless see from the posts you will get on this subject, there are many people who are interested in restoring trailers like this.

There must be some way to get it out here to Colorado, and use it in some way in the newly legalized "recreational" marijuana industry... maybe turn it into a rolling Brownie kitchen?
