Need Advice on Selling
Hey Gang,
I've got a 1986 34' Excella that I"m considering selling in order to start a new project (by that I mean an Airstream renovation project, of course). This one's been revamped inside - mostly just surface stuff, such as new flooring, paint on the walls, kitchen counter, reupholstered couch and dinette cushions, among many other lovely improvements. I also stripped off the old blue stripe and painted on a solid black one.
But besides the new stripe, the outside could use some TLC (two dented panels, could use a buff, stairs need welding, etc.). And it needs a new refrigerator and A/C unit, or at least some A/C repair. I'm guessing it will probably need new axles and a thorough inspection of the bearings, new tires etc.
I live in this thing full-time currently, and have been dragging it all over the country and it's been amazing so far - no major disasters, totally road-ready.
My question is this: Would it be worth my time/money/effort to finish up these last projects (tires, axles, fridge, etc.) before I sell it, or let the buyer deal with it? Will the investment yield me a proportionately higher asking price than if I left it alone?
Thanks in advance for the help and advice!
