NADA vs Real Value

I am thinking of selling my 2001 30' Anniversary Airstream with Slide Out. I think the NADA value is far too low. Trailer is very clean no damage and clear coat in very good condition.
Anyone want to comment on a value

NADA only makes a good case for the buyer. Do some classified searches here, on Ebay & Craigslist and AS dealer sites.

NADA value is a point of ref, for paying taxes on the unit. They are way too low as compared to actual going value/sale price. We recently sold our previous Airstream for which NADA listed at high teens and we sold it for high mid twenties. However, it took approx 5 months.

Best of luck to you.

When I purchased my near new Airstream, I paid NADA retail book from a dealer. A dealer can't be unrealistic about something sitting on his lot costing him $$. If I ever buy another I will not pay over book. I may have to wait a bit, or travel but I will find what I want at price I want to pay. I just keep looking when quoted an inflated price by a private seller.
Try selling a car for even retail book. Airstreams and other mass produced products are not unique or works of art.
I would consider paying more for a top quality customization but not for a stock Airstream.

In general the NADA values for RVs are not thought to be as reliable as the NADA values for cars. That's especially true with anything 10 years old or more since most RVs are worth very little at that age, and any remaining value depends on condition and the specifics of the transaction than anything else.

I would imagine that a 30' slide would be worth about the same as a 30' without a slide. In a private party sale this time of year it's not worth nearly as much as it would be on a dealer's lot next April. Check eBay and dealer listings and decide for yourself realizing that a buyer will deduct the cost of replacement for anything that is failing and that can mean $2000 for a fridge, $700 for tires, $1000 for A/C, etc.

We look at the values on the NADA website and ad 10 grand to whatever they list. This practice seems be a reasonable market value for whats out there.

The value of any Airstream, will never be correctly found in any book, as the books deal with averages and neglect.

If you have upgraded anything, that's a plus. Damages, worn and out things are negatives.

If the trailer has been parked and not moved every coup[le of years, it may have axle problems.
