Bought it

Bought the 1991 350 LE.

Actually got the air conditioners working with shore power. Got a disconnect between the generator and the inside power somewhere. Will search tomorrow.

You convinced me that I should buy it and think about it later.

Drives out nice. It appears to have 7,300 actual miles. I know that sounds crazy but I'll take pics. The odometer works and the other two zeros in front of the 7,300 are showing. I'm going to try to find the orginal owner and ask. The owner got it from his girlfriend, that bought it new. He got it in some nasty court case two years ago. He says that she hardly used it. Got all the manuals and original sales sticker.

Will post pics later.

Thanks.

congrats on a great deal. If you run a carfax report it may show you mileage when it was smogged etc.

There is a relay box between the gen and shore power breaker box that switches the power from shore to gen automaticly so you can run on either or both. Our relay had a bad leg and wouldn't have 110 voltage to breaker box when using gen. gen will only power 110 breaker box when you are not connected to shore power. We had to replace the relay.

I forgot to say congratulations on you find. At the price you got it for it is almost like a frebee.

1991 350 Le

I expect the relay is bad. Got both AC units working once today with the generator on but only for a half hour. Never could get generator back in the loop but it's putting out a nice 126 volts. I'll check relay tomorrow.

I have one broken side window. Any ideas on where to find a replacement. It's one of a pair and there are about 4-5 pair on the road side.

We've been cleaning it all day. Will try to post pictures in the next few days.

Try Airstream in Jackson Center, also Inland RV (www.inlandrv.com) in CA. I think someone has a source in Alabama for old, salvage and take off AS parts but I don't know the website...something like Sonny's???? might only be a phone number to call. Do a search on the forum and you'll get some more ideas.

Sounds like you are describing the transfer switch. If so, I replaced mine when it failed with this:
http://store.solar-electric.com/ioitauactrsw.html these people were good to deal with.
They also had Thin-Lite replacement ballasts which saved me quite a bit over replacing the failed 12 volt DC fluorescent fixtures when I bought my MH.

You can also get the transfer switch from campingworld and other RV parts places.
