How much should I pay for a 2015 ?

Hi there,
I'm wondering what everyone has paid for their new trailers? I know last years models (2014) can go up to 20% off sticker price, but Im looking at a new 2015 Eddie Bauer?

Please let me know the MSRP of your model and what you actually paid, this way I can present a fair offer.

Many thanks and Happy New Year!!

In my experience, the current year's models (i.e., the 2015's right now) should go for about 15% to 20% off of list. We bought our 2014 EB in November of 2013 and got about 20% off list.

Thanks Bob! I heard 20% off was a fair deal for both parties. did you have to haggle a lot? I'm not a haggler and would just as well stay with my current trailer if haggling is common in the industry.

thanks for your reply!

There was recently an article talking about how Airstream can't keep up with demand... might make things more difficult for you

Not too bad. He put out a price that was about 15% off MSRP and I countered with 22% off, we settled on a figure around 20% off.

But as indicated above, the economy and demand has picked up so you might end up closer to 15%.

Not sure why AS can't keep up with demand. There are plenty of 2014 and 2015 on dealer lots. Must be dealer orders getting ready for the spring season. Let's hope they produce a lot so there is a glut when the 2016s arrive.

I made my deal over the phone with the Internet sales rep. I kew approximately what MSRP was. Asked him the the MSRP on a specific trailer they had coming in. Pricing matched my number so I offered 20% off MSRP stating it was off season now and I was ready to buy now. Done deal! No haggle, like the last three vehicles I bought.

Geez that's not what our dealer said. He's stuck on MSRP for a 2015 FC 27FB Twin. Of course there is no way I would ever pay MSRP for anything. Guess it will be a long time before he hears back from us.
I have a few calls out to several dealers around the country to see what they will settle for. But all start at their top MSRP. Nope. Will keep our current rig.

Another point I made with my offer is that as soon as the unit comes in and is prepped, I take delivery. No sitting on the lot at their expense. Keep looking and it will happen

The article you are referring to (i.e., "can't keep up with demand") was an Airstream press release that was picked up by media outlets all over the country. Media is desperate for "copy" this time of the year. I'm surprised we haven't seen any "alien abduction" stories lately. In any event, given the source of the article, you can take any "information" it may have contained with a grain of salt. Airstream is about to bring a significant expansion of its manufacturing capacity on line and I suspect they are trying to create an air of scarcity to generate demand for the added production.

Will sell if I find what we want. The good thing I have in my court is the Ocean Breeze model is VERY sought after. I recently looked at one that was selling for 47k. The interior wasn't as clean and it didn't have solar.

She's so pretty, I won't mind letting both sit on my property until she sells.

Generating Demand?

Possible, but my dealer is sold out of the next four months of delivery of new 2015s so if you want to talk new, he has to start talking May-June delivery... at best.
