I have been looking at 25FB and 27FB Queen bed Airstream units. There are still some 2014 units out there on lots with limited color choices. Just curious to what extra discount could be expected over the 18 to 20% that is possible on 2015s this late in the model 2015 year. Thoughts?

Thanks Mike

Try Dixie RV dealer in FL...he had some pretty good deals on 14' models I believe. For 15's I haven't seen higher than 20% yet...but AS Adventures is having a sales contest in May so they might be a good place to start the discussion now.

Thanks for letting me know about the May sales drive. I would like to buy in the next couple of weeks. If I can't get a 2014 with a larger discount I may end up with a 2015.

I think now could be a good time to be looking. AS has their annual dealer mtg at the end of May/first of June, and some dealers will be trying to get their sales up or keep them up prior to the mtg.

15-18% seems to be the off US MSRP range, for new, current model year and in-stock, prices get higher as you move west. Add 5% if you're west coast ?

If it's a use twice and return like new, technically used say 3-6 MO, take off 10% off above,

If it's new last years model closeout take off 10% (or more), don't know how soft the prices really are are on these unsold 2014. (especially with the ducting on the 2015 25'+)

Unusual or unpopular configurations seem to garner an extra 5%-6% off

It's a starting point. I'm sure everyone but me got 88% off and new tires for their TV thrown in.

The motorhome/SOB space seems to have 30%+ off list across the board. More like bragging rights ... so people can say they have a 350k motorhome !

list prices will go up 3% when 2016 sheet comes out and adjustments to list for northern peso will be made

Thanks timhortons for the detailed reply. I have narrowed the search to two units a 27FB Flying Cloud and a 27FB International in NJ. The International has the 100 watt Inverter package the Flying Cloud does not.

I am currently thing about starting at -25% of list and see where I get as I would pay a few more points (5 to 7%) to get the ducted air. We are in Ontario so we should be able to get eastern prices.

Thanks again for the insights and advice.

All Airstream dealerships pay the same freight charge on each specific model to get the trailer to their lot whether they are in Ohio or Washington state or California. The larger volume dealers, like Colonial, sell more units so they get a deeper discount from Airstream and often have lower sales prices because of that discount.

Colonial will have the first of the 2016 models in June.

Looking forward to seeing the 2016 models and any changes, if any.

Price increase just for the fun of it may the biggest change. Perhaps some fine tuning in the assembly of the ceiling duct work.

I was wondering about a remodel of the ceiling duct work. The external hump in the 2015's appeared like a last minute idea.

I realize this is an older thread but could be relevant to Silverwheels if she has not purchased yet. I'm waiting delivery on my 2016 recently ordered 25ft Silver Cloud. It was ordered in mid April & promised in mid June so there is no backlog on Airstream Trailers being built. Eddie Bauer series maybe a little longer but I'm not sure. I purchased from an online advertiser who has 5 dealerships from Florida to NY to the mid west. Using their online sales representative I received a 19.7% discount, ordered the AS with a $3000.00 down payment, balance on delivery. This was a clean and easy deal with NO horse trading or hustle. I'll take delivery at there FL dealership which includes a free walk through and no additional dealer fees. If anyone wants further info on this, private message me & I'll be happy to share.
