Good fortune

Greetings my long lost aluminum aficionados! As so many of you have done, we've added to our collection. Our newest beauty is a sweet little Bambi (162T450). I met her way back in 2002, but the owner wasn't interested in selling so we hooked up with the Overlander in the meantime.

This baby has a fine skin, however the interior was frankly incredibly filthy. Although she wasn't abused she had been neglected (sitting unused for 16+ years), so we've decided to give her an interior make-over. We were rather amazed the cooktop and ice box both work and look great after a little elbow grease. We did remove the roof air conditioner, which will be replaced with a lovely Fantastic fan. All in all we're now to the point of tearing out the subfloor at which point we'll decide on the need for a new belly pan and/or axle. This is proving to be very interesting process and great fun, although I'm sure we'll have hours, days and weeks of questioning taking the endeavor this far.

In any case, if anyone out there is looking for certain parts for a Bambi, let me know. We're re-building the cabinetry and replacing the water tank and heater. The existing water heater may work, but we've not tested it.

I'll do my best to post photos of progress on occasion. I appreciate all the information and inspiration on the forums. It's good to see you all!

Good looking trailer Carmen. I hope to see pictures along the way. Your Overlander looks great to. Perfect size in my opinion
