Fugliest trailers on eBay ...

OK, has anyone ever seen a worse trailer than this one? No wonder they went with "Private IDs" on the bidders:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Rare-...28263674QQrdZ1

I suffered retinal damage even before getting to the part about "The aluminum skin is in good condition."

Honesty!?

Summerkid -

At least they are being honest about condition!? Not sure...

I know this is WAY more than I would be willing to take on... but then there is likely someone on this forum that would say Hmmmmm......

Not my ideal of beauty, but then it is ALWAYS in the eye of the beholder, isn't it?! LOTS of proof to that in this world.

In the real estate market, that would be called a 'fixer-upper' or a 'handy-man special'.

The red refrigerator makes my eyes hurt.

It looks like the seller is being honest and posting lots of pictures. Sad as they are.

"Eye of the Beholder"

It may not be beautiful...... BUT it may have been all the creator had to work with, maybe both vehicles were a total loss and this is what was made of them.

Who knows, somebody may need a rear portion of that trailer and get it cheap....

I give credit to the seller it appears they want to expose all the flaws. They could have written: "Retro style fridge to compliment the era." Instead they put a picture of its insides. Overall I think this trailer is worth saving.

Uglier trailer on ebay? Of course!

Remember the multiple auctions tring to dispose of the Airstream used in the "While You Were Out" episode?

The sagging carpet tiles power-nailed thru the inside skin? The half-hearted half-polish of half of the outside skin? The walled-off bathroom? And to top it off, the less than fully forthright stories told by the seller?

Now that was an ugly incident.

Exclamation Parts?

It looks like it was used for parts, or maybe it's parts were used for templates - possibly for the TT in the background.

Dang, Summerkid, you're getting picky! That thing doesn't look half bad. Now I once looked at a 22ft mid-60s Safari with all plastic or plywood windows, a big aluminum patch screwed on over the front corner, dings and tears here and there, a second layer of rotting plywood on the foor, gutted, used as a tool shed, and painted black inside here and there with a brush - now THAT was ugly! Then it showed up on eBay and sold for $800 - I'd passed it up basically for free if I'd hauled it away.

That ebay trailer looks like it's worth saving to me, if you don't mind the damage on the right front.

Oh no! I never saw that TV show or the original discussion, but from the posts, I'm SOOOOOOO glad that the ebay link has gone dark, for that same reason that I'll READ about "The Sopranos" but could never actually stomach the visuals.

Investigative reporters!

Anyone have any idea how to get a hold of the original owners who were on the While you were out show?

It would be fun to have them on theVAP.

Calling all investigative reporters out there! Find me an email address!

If you watch that episode, follow these rules:
1. No children in the room (not from the show, but from what you will say!)
2. No food in the room (you will not keep it down)
3. No pets in the room (you might kick one out of fustration)

Honestly, I do not know if I could watch this show again...

Aw, you guys. This camper is over half a century old. It's gonna look bad after all that time.

My first thought was "no hill for a climber". But then, I am the eternal optimist.

Wonder what the latest bid is?

Well, it was set in New Orleans, right? Whole thing could be a moot point by now.
