Wow - things must be cheaper in the east coast - they are VERY hard to find

Great looking foundation for a full monty. Please post pictures, before and after, of each step along the way. There was recently a member that posted the after shots of his restoration on a similar vintage. Sorry I don't remember the member's alias here on the forums.

Good luck with the restoration and like anything else that is restored/renovated, you will preserving a piece of our iconic history.

Thanks everyone!! And thanks to Kevin for putting pix up for me going to see about getting an inexpensive laptop so I can have more abilities - and since I'll be spending a lot of time on the Internet doing research I need a screen that's bigger than 2" x 3" !

I didn't get the trailer for 2000. It was quite a bit more than that. But I'm still feeling okay about it. I know it will be an incredible piece of beautiful art when she's done. It might take a while but I'm not in a rush. I'll be asking questions and doing some customizing (mostly hidden stuff) but I'm used to designing that in antique boats. I'm a stickler for "quality" so never fear, she'll be very lovely. I'm just so happy to get another rescue. And something I've dreamt about since I was a kid. I promise to get either my old goodcanera working or get another and I'll do a ton of documenting. It might get so you all get sick of me once I really get going!! LOL! Thanks for all the support so far and I hope someday to meet at least some of you out on the road

Doug-- you're absolutely right! That IS the trailer... Probably a few years ago... All the furniture bits are gone (no crime by the looks of it), the funky airconditioner too! Interesting to see it full side profile. It has another trailer parked close to it so I wasn't able to stand far away...

Awesome!

Yea, I think 2,000 is way below what I've seen similar year vintage trailers sell for - good luck!

Pleased for your find. The resto threads around here are really great. It is obvious, too, that the support of members for each other is equal to that.

I went out and bought a laptop so far. Will be driving back to where the old gal is fairly soon to watch her load on the flatbed to go to Connecticut. I'll take a bunch of pictures for everyone. I have my work cut out for me but I'm waaaay too excited to be discouraged. The hardest part will be waiting until early summer to get started. I'll be in Florida until then (unless I just can't stand it and have to go north to start working).

Why not keep it in Florida somewhere to putter all winter then send it north?

Talking keep it here......

there are a million people with nothing to do in florida for the next 6 months....take advantage of skill sets that may be found in your neighborhood then take it back home with you....or better yet just set the truck to your house up north load up all your stuff and just stay here...lots of cheap houses in florida now......

I wanted to bring it to my place in FL, but my husband wants to bring it to CT. Maybe it's some secret plot of his to be up to something while I'm not there. (he travels back and forth running/overseeing our business). I tried to convince him that there's plenty of qualified people to do the work i need help with- and things are cheaper in FL than up there, but he's somewhat stubborn and I didn't feel like fighting with him over it. *SIGH*

Why not use the weather to your advantage. Say FL in the Winter and CT in the Summer?
