Right? Seems the person could at least acknowledge the responses to the question.

It seems to me that any one that says the price is to high without inspecting it first should reconsider their statement. The best advice given here is that you need to contact an Airstream inspector to look at it with you. If you want a trailer that is ready to roll than this may suit you fine. As one person said, for $25,000 you can buy a much newer trailer, but it may have many problems that have already been repaired on this one. The choice is yours, determine your budget and needs, then find the trailer that best fits.

We Airstream enthusiasts know the dollars and hours spent in the renovation of our vintage trailers may not be recoverable in the market place. We do it because it's fun and the result is a unique travel trailer built to our liking. Short old trailers sell higher than longer ones.

Pro built trailers for unique customers go into the project with the budget well defined. I suspect the depreciation curve is quite steep in these bespoke trailers.

Seems to me buyers have many options when getting into that $20k price point, even new SOBs versus a 20 year old Airstream with needs.

The Jackson Center built Trade Wind of 2012 was advertised for $65k. It would take a very special buyer as there are so many alternatives at that price.

The OP is well advised to have this trailer inspected by an Airstream enthusiasts. A 1980 Excella at $25k would have to be a very special trailer indeed. It may be a real bargain, who knows?

In 1983 or 1984 the frame was strengthened.
