Argosy Values greater than Airstream?

Times are good for Argosy owners, wanting to sell. Jeff

Egads! My '76 manual looks in better shape than that!! Maybe I should try for $12,000 list?

Two words....
Argosys rock!
I wonder if the high bidder is a serious high bidder though.

I love the goucho fabric. But 9K is a little steep with the dent in the rear endcap

I will tell you from experience and with 99.9% certainty that
this auction is being shill bid.
I have sold some of the most BEAUTIFUL, restored, argosys
that didnt approach this price.
I look at this and think....hmmm...car dealer....las vegas...yeah

edit: I also just noticed all this happened in the first 7 hours? Still 9 days left to go? With only 4 bids? No Way Jose'.

Bidding has ended

The bidding on that unit ended early with the $9000 bid as the winner. I have a hunch it will be back.

well apparently the auction ended early. And positive feedback left for the buyer. Unreal 9,000 for what the photos show.

I saw a 1973 Argosy 20 go for $8,000 on eBay last summer.
It was thre real deal too. The person that bought it astually paid that price for it.
I have to admit that freshly painted Argosys look awesome. Happycampers on here have a BEAUTIFUL 1975 Argosy that was recently repainted. It looks BRAND NEW!
One thing that you can do with the Argosy is to remove the imperfections in the body. Then paint it. It looks BRAND NEW! Try that with an Airstream. You still see every dent and ding.
I am not a fan of highly polished Airstreams. You ever drive behind one in bright sunlight? OUCH! I love the "painted ladies" and there is a large, and growing, population of people willing to shell out the same amount of cash for one as someone would for an Airstream.
Just because it is an Argosy does not necessarily mean that, if the bid seems high, it is a shill bid.

OH NO.....I didnt mean any criticism of argosy's at all....
Regardless of what trailer, the circumstances are kinda flakey.
And it isnt in $9000 shape is all. IF it were all dolled up it might be.
Terribly sorry...I DID NOT mean any insult to the Argosy at all.

BTW...Im with you. I am not a big fan of highly polished aluminum skin either. It can look really great in photos...but campers werent made for photo OPs.
