Argosy Minuet value?

Well, I have poured through the archives on here and I have yet to find an answer to my question of how much I could expect to get for my Minuet.
You see, I have now found the Airstream, (yes I am actually going to move from the Argosys to an Airstream), that is just what me and my family need to be comfortable while camping; a 25' rear bedroom one.
Now came the hard part: selling my Minuet. I need to raise some of the cash and I am sure my neighbors will all have a cow if I had two trailers... again!
I am trying to figure out how much to let my Minuet go for. Maybe you guys can help me. Below is a list of what has been replaced and the condition it is in.
1. New 3500# axle w/ new brakes and drums.
2. New 13.5k BTU Carrier A/C.
3. New Dometic 3-way fridge.
4. New Magic Chef range and oven.
5. New Thetford dump valves
6. New tires.
7. All new CPVC and PEX plumbing
8. New water pump.
9. New 65 amp Intelli-power converter/charger w/charge wizard.
10. New battery.
11. New James P. Ambruso drapes.
12. New carpet.
13. Newer upholstery.
14. Newer water heater.
15. Newer auto-light furnace.
16. All new 12Vdc flourescent lights.
17. LED clearance lights (front and rear).
18. New H&H power tongue jack.
19. New OPD valves on 20# aluminum tanks.
20. New LP regulator.
21. ZipDee awning with the metal cover, (in pristine condition).

I think that is about it. I am sure I have missed something else but that is all I can think of right now.

I really get sick when I look at some of these trailers that other members call me to inspect. You know, the ones that say, "Ready to camp." in the ad. When you look at the unit you see three or four major things that need to be done. Maybe they stuck an apartment fridge in place of the old Dometic. Things like that.

I have not found any one Minuet that has had the level of upgrades that I have done to compare it against.

What would you expect to see it go for?

I am thinking 6-7.5k considering the only thing that would need to be done is the paint. Everything else is like brand new and fully functional.

Thanks for your help!

I think you should be able to get more - most especially if the paint and shell are in good gondition.

We were offered 15 K for ours a couple of years ago (i agree it seems high..). I have seen several Minuets in GREAT condition with all new stuff sell for 10K. Knock off 2 K for the paint - I think you could get 8K.

Janet,

I cannot believe that I cannot figure out how much it is worth....
I just have never sold one with this much done to it before. Plus, I have never had one that is being sought after like yours and mine are.
The paint is the only thing that is really left to do on it. Everything else is nearly new and works perfectly. It may not look the prettiest in a campground but you would be hard-pressed to find one in better operational condition.
I just do not want to come in too high and then wind up with this trailer while the trailer I want goes on down the road behind someone else's TV.
Thanks for the help.

Thanks!
I have spent a lot of time, effort and money to get it to the shape it is in.
Good luck with Costalotta 2! Are you going to have it at this year's rally?

There is a trailer value section on the forum... just scroll down past the dollars and cents ... I think you are starting too low ... look at what you get for 5k then at another 5k for restoration... I have over 11k in mine now and would not sell it that low...

remember that the buyer is going to have to make the same restoration purchases we have... unless they purchase yours... I think any way

IMHO...

Dan,

The thing with old trailers is the same thing with old cars.
If you were to put a dollar amount on your time you would never get a fair price for it.
The way I look at it, my time was free as I would have just been getting into trouble anyway!
As you can see by my list of things done, I have a lot of new stuff in mine. I have only attached a dollar amount to that.
I have already received a few PM's and some email about the Minuet and I have not even decided what I am going to do with it yet. There is obviously an increase in interest in these little trailers now.

I am gonna do it!

Well, after looking over our friends '85 25' Sovereign we are going to sell the Minuet!
I am going to snap off new pictures and, I hate to say it, put it up on Ebay starting this week some time. Unless I get something good in the way of an offer from one of the people that emailed or PM'ed me about it.
I have decided that the 1985 is a better fit for my family, considering where we are in life right now.
I have also noticed that right now is an excellent time to sell the Minuet. Gas prices are high and my 2,400 lb. Minuet is far more attractive than it was a few years ago.
It seems like now is just the right time for me to do this.
I am going to miss the little trailer. I have done more to it than I had done to the previous two Argosys and the 63 Bambi. I had wanted one of these trailers for a long time and I will probably wish I had kept it.
Thanks for all of your input.
