Approx value of 95 Excella 30'

There is a 95 Excella 30' that is for sale very near me that appears to be in excellent shape. They want $25,000 for it. I would appreciate some advice from experienced AS people as how to determine if that is reasonable. I would rather pay a little more for one that is in really good shape as I don't have the time or expertise to work on one.

Calling on owners of 1990s Airstreams

Hello tslanier -- From your profile 'threads started' I see you have been going about your search in an organized fashion. The 1990-1999 Airstreams have their followers in the Forums and I'd hope you get some replies. The trailer you are looking at is too new to have been included on VintageAirstream's "Price vs. Condition" page.

Can you give us a 'flavor' of what you mean by excellent? Has it been stored inside our out? Have the tires ever been replaced? How good is the condition of the skin and clearcoat? Does the A/C work? A photograph or two could thaw the heart of a 10 year old Excella owner ...

When I ask if the A/C works, please don't have the current owner start it for you in their driveway unless they have a 30 amp outlet (ie, didn't have to use an adaptor on the power cord) -- that could be very bad on the compressor.

Good luck in your search!

For 25,000 it should be in Excellent + condition, clear coat redone and ceiling liner still in place as well as being spotlessly clean.

We sold our 1998 28 Classic in June 2003 for $25,000. It was in mint condition including a factory re-clearcoat in 2001 when I bought it. We stored it indoors in the winter.

I think 25K for a 1995 is quite pricey.

But I believe my 1993 25' Excella is priceless - of course I have no plans of ever selling her.
