Airstream prices and inflation?

I was just exploring Dillons (advertise on the website) inventory.....seems the 2005 Classic 25' is around $58,000.......

I think we paid about $50,000 plus taxes for ours in 2002...late

Wow, should I feel good really what I want is 34' and 3 axles

Yep its all in timing and price increases. I kick myself for passing on a 2003 30' slideout that was about $5,000 cheaper than my 2004.

Well, maybe Airstreams are not as bad of an "investment" as SOBs I don't think that it is just end-of-the-year sale....I suspect prices are rising...rather fast.

Being restless here, I explore and try to (basic urges to spend are a problem) better myself

hi folks,
we have two issues here.... will inflation raise values of units or rise slowly after depreciation, or will they deflate becuz of the rise of oil.....only time will tell....unless you have a crystal ball....

I belive that if you are referring to the possibility that rising oil prices will cause a lowered demand for Airstreams, it would be the opposite. Our trailers are the easiest and most efficient to pull so I think would have a greater demand in that scenario. Now, if I had a 35ft long, 13 ft high, 12000 lb fifth wheel, I would be worried...

The market today:

Priced out a joint of 2" schedule 40 Aluminum pipe

$6.00 PER FOOT.

The explanation was......All Aluminum is going to China.

Don't think that explanation washes - price has been fairly stable (on average) since the first of the year.

But look what the price of Al did in late 2003 and first part of 2004.
