64 tradewind for $25...

Yes it is true, you can own a 1964 Tradewind for $25. Here is the link... Airstream Trailer & Motorhome Classifieds - 1964 Airstream Trade Wind Fundraiser - Powered by PhotoPost Classifieds Rob Baker came up with this way for his town to raise the money for their new water system. It is totally legit and tax deductible. I bought four. He has not been very active in promoting this, so I am stepping in.
FOLK... STEP RIGHT UP....YOUR WINNING TICKET IS WAITING FOR YOU!!!!

I mailed my check for two tickets last week. Great idea for a fund raiser.

I think it is a great idea and for a great cause. The trailer was donated by an elderly man that cannot keep it up. He paid for new axles, which Rob's Uncle Don gave his time to put on. Rob has been polishing away... even if it needs a restoration, I like those odds... a 1 in 400 chance at an Airstream is great odds in my book. I personally increased my odds to 1 in 100 by buying four tickets.

you could buy a ticket and if you won, you could then ebay it and give the town half... save a lot on towing it home... just a thought. It is a good cause you know.

I bought two and ended up selling one to a friend. Think I'll buy a couple more!

Yes - to both

Yes, you can still get them from her. I have some of the tickets to take to Rallies to sell. I'll be at the Celtic Festival this weekend in Chatham NY with the Metro NY unit, Fri - Sun.

Answering Frank

Frank, right now we've sold around 100 of the 400 tickets. Since Peg and I both have tickets, I'm not sure of the exact number. I'm reimbursing the Watershed for all tickets that are sent out via mail. Requests for tickets are trickling in. I'm taking a few of the tickets over to the Celtic Fest this weekend - it's a great deal for someone that wants this vintage restoration project (the money saved can be spent on the restoration) or if you win, flip it on Ebay and put the $$$$ into your current project (all Vintage Airstreams are a project!!!) Good luck! - let's go Airstream community - make a donation for a watershed restoration project and maybe win the 64 Trade Wind - it's all for a good cause.

Rob, Does the toilet work? Your sovereign does not have a working toilet, does the tradewind?

No!

What, the toilet in my SOTR works!!!! just have to manually put in the water... until tomorrow...The toilet in the Trade Wind is there, but plumbing is one of the parts of the Restoration Project Frank! I sold a ticket to a fella that stopped in (part of the Metro NY unit) that has a place nearby. He's got 2 other Airstreams, but likes the size of the 24 footer. Keep em coming folks!
