2015 Spreadsheet Model/Length/Price

I created a spreadsheet to compare different models prices at different lengths/configurations. I thought it might be useful to others.

A few surprises for me.
  • The 28 footers with the lounge area are actually cheaper than the 27FB. By $3000 for the Flying Cloud.
  • The Serenity is more expensive than the Signature, even though they seem to only differ by color scheme.
  • The Eddie Bauer is cheaper than the Serenity, even though it has that door assembly.
  • Having to open two doors to get something from the refrigerator is an expensive option (Land Yacht).

Thanks for sharing this. I wonder why AS doesn't share this data in this format? Then again I wonder why I have to fill out a form to get an electronic brochure...

All the automakers have web apps that let you build your dream machine. Airstream would increase sales by doing this, but perhaps they are content with their current production levels. Warren Buffet should be more involved.

Are these base retail without options? I'd love to see something accurate about dealer cost.

Filling out an form to get a soft copy of a brochure? That's what mailinator is for. Mailinator. Feed 'em a made-up-on-the-spot email address and then download the form.

Yes. I took these prices from the main web site. I'd love to have information about options, but I haven't found any.

So I found some options. They vary in availability and price by model and length. These are the options and prices for an International Signature 27FB:

Window Awnings (19'-28' Models) $1,329.00
Power Patio Awning (25' - 30' Models) $3,601.00
Convection Microwave $399.00
Pantry w/Slideout Regular Microwave (27FB Only) $558.00
1000 Watt Invertor $717.00
Solar Package (25' - 30' Models) $2,919.00
2nd A/C w/50 Amp Service (25' - 30' Only) $2,107.00
Oyster Ultra-Leather Decor $0.00
Espresso Ultra-Leather Decor $0.00
Salsa Ultra-Leather Decor $0.00

The RV Direct site has what is pretty much a build list with check boxes for each option. If you pick a 30 I think you can see all possible options, though some make no sense for shorter models (like recliners).

As I understand it (correct me if I'm wrong), you also have the possibility of choosing to leave out some sky lights? Don't see it listed.

Also, I thought there were options for upgrading some of the compartments and doors to stainless steel. Are these options or are they standard now?

Those option prices are pretty much what I remember from my visit to Colonial Airstream this weekend.

I would have used the more universal CSV file format, which can be read by all spreadsheets, but the website will not let me upload a file with that file type.

Here's a different one giving all specs, i.e. weights, hitch weights, tank capacities, etc. I built this by screen-scraping the AS website.

Note that the wording was different on some models wrt weight, I kept them in separate columns. I'm uploading this as airstream.txt. If you rename it to airstream.csv, you should be able to double click it and it will load in any spreadsheet. I don't have Excel on my home Mac, and I don't have my work laptop handy, so I can't convert it a xls file.

Hi Tomy:

I took your Model Spreadsheet and created a PDF doc that everyone will have access to. Even people on a mobile device like an iPad should not have any problems opening it.
Hope this helps

Cheers
Doug

I snickered as I read your comment J.Morgan. While they are not quite my first home price (1997) some are very close. Yesterday we visited the dealer to see new models AGAIN. They had a 2015 with the ducted air. I will say that it is implemented differently than the ducted systems I used for my sound test in another thread. It will be interesting to see how it functions in high humid heat situations. Many systems still have the centrally located AC unit with closed ducts that can be opened for "quick cool" as they put it. Airstreams do not have that. Nonetheless, using the duct as a baffle with lower sound a bit for sure.

I would like a new one but... wow. I always said a new 28' but that new 27' was really nice with all that extra kitchen storage and big bedroom in place of the beloved L on the lounge.
