2012 Airstream 22FB Sport

My dream of owning an Airstream is right around the corner for me. I am driving to Newport OR at the end of this month to purchase a 2012 22FB Sport that I'm told has been out only twice. I am paying $43,000. It has the Solar package and a few extras. Does that sound like a good deal? Am I paying too much?

I also live in Newport Oregon and am selling a 2008 25 footer for 33K. That should give you a point of reference, since the 25 footer is wider and longer and even though older, is quite a bit less. Condition and accessories will be a factor too.

We bought our '08 in '07, new for $36,000 in Mesa. Had all the upgrades except solar. Since your willing to travel to get one, I suspect you should be able to get one new for close to the price of that used one.

If you're heading up to Oregon stop by George Sutton RV in Eugene. He currently has a new 2014 FB Sport "on sale". Check his website out. I've done business with him in the past and based on my experience you should be able to buy his new 2014 for less than the used unit you're currently considering.
