2009 International 27 FB Value. Total Loss

Looking for valuation in negotiating with Insurance Co. as mine was totaled last month. Has anyone purchased or sold anything similar in past 6-12 months? Excellent condition. PP hitch, new 16" Michelin tires and new wheels, other upgrades.

Did you have "agreed value insurance" or "stated value insurance"? Most "stated value insurance" polices have fall backs to "Actual Cash Value". What its worth in cash, today (just before you crashed it). Sounds like you are dealing with the latter?

Either way, sorry for your loss. I saw you were taking a big trip this summer too in a past thread.

Insurance Co says stated value, but never received the endorsement, and they admit they don't have a copy. Coverage summary states actual value with reference to endorsement # (stated value, but not attached), thus led to believe actual was my coverage and did not think about increasing stated value. Claims handler has said they find value is above stated value, before sales tax, which means I would be better off with actual value. If they treated me fairly on issue with contents I most likely would not consider pushing actual value. I am trying to cover all bases to ensure I know value before considering my options.

We were headed to Newfoundland, fish tailed down the highway in New Brunswick, and turned on side. The PP hitch just couldn't handle sudden and extreme movement to correct drifting into adjacent lane. We (and two dogs) were very fortunate and escaped without a scratch. The people in Canada are the Best!! Everyone was so helpful in many different ways.
