2002 19' Bambi Safari LS - Fair Price?

A friend of mine is considering a 2002 19' Bambi Safari LS for his first Airstream. It's owners are asking $17,000. I've offered to go inspect it with my friend, but we haven't had a chance to do that yet. Photos posted online look real nice. I'm looking for some feedback regarding the $17,000 asking price. Is this in the ballpark? Too high? A real steal? Any information will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I don't have a real answer for you, but your trailer is the same year and three feet longer; What is your trailer worth and how does this trailer and your's compare condition wise. This might be the easiest way to gauge if this price in within proper range.

Bob,
Thanks for the suggestion. So, I've done the math on this, as well as searching the classifieds here and checking a couple of Airstream dealers' websites for used Airstreams. The $17,000 is looking a bit high... not a lot, but a bit. The condition of the Bambi will make a big difference. Next step is to go to see the little guy. Thanks for your input!

not enough

Really has your friend looked at the cost of a 2010 bambi, and compared materials and design. I'd think 17K is a reasonable price.

How did it go?
