1977 Argosy Minuet 6 meter

Hi folks. Well this is a trailer you guys have seen before. I bought it from gotair a couple years ago and we have used it some, but not as much as we would have liked, so we're planning to sell it.

It's basically in the same condition as when we got it, only it's two years older now with light use, and we've fixed up a few things that need attention. Dan had restored it nicely and it's ready to go, fully functional.

I am wondering what it's worth nowadays. I have posted some pics, but they're the same ones dan used when he sold it to me, I will take some new ones before we sell, but not much has changed. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Argosy price

At least $5000. I have one that is pretty straight w new upholstery and I would not sell it for less. At that price it would be a good value for a smaller trailer compared to what else is out there.

5 K is too cheap. If it's in decent shape you can get quite a bit more for a lightweight tow.

I guess it is half dozen or the other in pricing! I on the other hand is looking for a trailer like that, but 7500 would be out of my price range

This trailer is for sale at the moment. Asking price is $6500/BO. It is in largely the same condition as you see here but aged a couple years. Everything still functional.

I can even deliver it if you like, depending on where you are. I'll be heading form New Mexico to Minnesota this summer and can drop it off anywhere in between, including a reasonable detour to any of these states (CO, TX, OK, NE, KS, SD, ND, IA, MO, IL, WI). I'd also consider a trip to OR, WA, or CA including points between such as AZ, NV, UT, ID.

And if you buy that cute little Argy, I have lots of extra white nose trim for it. You'll notice that this trim is badly yellowed, cracked, and in some places missing in that one bathroom pic. Contact me if you're interested. I'll sell it cheap.

Is this trailer still for sale? It sure looks nice.

What big of tow vehicle is needed to haul the 1977 Argosy Minuet 6 meter? I was think about using my 2003 Honda Ody van. The van has a 3500 lb tow capacity. What do other use to haul this trailer?

I use a 2005 Odyssey to tow the Minuet. It works very well; it's a stable, good-handling combination. Power is pretty good as well. I can see 15 mpg towing at 70 on the highway.

You'll need a transmission and power steering cooler to get the 3500 lb tow rating. I also had the hitch reinforced because the Minuet's tongue weight is on the high side for the factory hitch. Note that the tow rating drops as you add passengers; you can't fill up all 7 seats and add luggage and go tow the Minuet under the limit. It works fine for the two of us with our normal load of kayaks and bikes.

You probably know this, but your Odyssey model year has a history of so-so transmission durability. At the least, plan to change the fluid frequently.

I use a 2006 Nissan Xterra. The trailer itself is about 3000 pounds empty I believe.
