Nope, the Caravel is still mine, the TW is still Darols Only time will tell if that situation will change For the moment the Caravel will be going with us to the Seafood Festival rally in a couple weeks.

The boat is quite a project, but so far it's been a lot easier than the trailer was to fix up! If you see one, go for it. I see them for sale all the time for free-$500, and it's awful tempting to pick up another one! Especially up in Seattle - you'll have your pick! Just check out CL. Get yourself a little Skagit with a cuddy cabin to pack the kids away in, and you'll be set!

Love the cartoon. Does this mean you are going to paint your boat pink?

It seems to be coming up to the time when folks start thinking about their spring/summer holidays and the need for a trailer. Hopefully some of them are thinking Caravel.

Don't laugh, Barry, that is a serious possibility at this time!

Well, I got the woodwork done, the carpet cleaned up, put it all back together and...it's beautiful! Too beautiful to sell! I'm going to keep it. I've been going back and forth about it for weeks. Should I keep the nice trailer I have, or sell it and buy the nice trailer I could have? Well, I think if I sold the Caravel I would always be wishing I hadn't, and wishing I had it back, no matter how nice the replacement is. It's not just how nice they are, it's sentimental value too. It's the trailer we took on our first big road trip, and many great rallys, and many great rallys to come. And I did all the work to it intending to keep it forever. I guess that's what I should do.

So the good news for someone out there is that Darol's beautiful TW might be back on the market again. If I could have two I would have it in a heartbeat, it is really really beautiful, and well done from top to bottom. Darol is a perfectionist, so I know everything in it is top notch. Someone is going to get a really nice trailer.

Here's my Caravel, reassembled and ready for South Beach!

That's good Stephanie that you've made a decision. You have a ton of work into your Caravel and it shows. I'm looking forward to seeing it this year.

Stephanie, The walls look great. It's always the way, fix it up to sell and find out it's to perfect to sell. See you guy's at south beach.

Thinks for the nice words, Steph. Tradewind is still in deep winter storage and until I get this @#%&*#@ Caravel out of the shop that's where it will stay. There are a couple things I want to do to it before it goes on the market (and maybe even use it once or twice if it ever stops raining). Darol

Hey Steph... since I'll miss it at this rally, can you post more pics? Looks great, like the new Signiture line... of course, even better!
I think your trailer is great for you guys... AND, you can get that Charger you always wanted to tow it with too!

Hi Marc, you know the problem with a Caravel is that you can only sit at the dinette and take a picture, or stand in the bathroom and take a picture - it's too small for anything else

I'll give you the tour at the next rally though for sure!

Now, about that Charger, we'll have to talk to Dave...

Melody - LOL!

Here's a couple more pics. I believe someone could talk Darol out of the Pontiac too if they wanted a nice vintage tow vehicle, and believe me, it IS nice!
Beautiful combination! Seeing that picture makes me wish I still had my first car, a 1964 Pontiac Parisienne.
