Re-purposed Airstream Parts

A bad situation came up the other day wherein I'm on the hook to go treat an existing structure with a lot of termiticide. Since the effort involves moving water-diluted pesticides out of a mix-tank, I looked around my shop to find a good transfer pump.

My search ended with the original PAR water pump from Sneakinup's '72 Overlander powered by my '67 Overlander's original Univolt. Everything still works!

I love not letting anything go to waste.

You truly are a mad scientist! I knew I should have held on to that pump. I rarely get rid of items like that, as I like to "re-purpose" stuff as well.

Glad it worked out. Did you ever fire up that old furnace I gave you? I never saw any mushroom clouds over Alabama.

I still use the Parallax 7455 converter as a 12v power supply...works great, as long as it's not connected to a battery.

Sadly, the furnace had too many holes in the heat exchanger, and it was only good for a few spare parts.

I kept it for a few years before including it, along with my Overlander's original axles, in a trip to the metal recycle yard.
