Ohio Dealers

Yikes!
I need to order a replacement part for my AS that is available only through a dealer. I discovered that my dealer (Caldwell Airstream) is not in the AS business any longer and there may be only one or no dealers currently in Ohio. Sid and Nick - best of luck to the both of you!!!

Caldwell kept the parts guy and the sales staff I believe. The mechanic was out of work for a long time - just found a job in Marion. I've had him doing some side work for me.

Airstream is running the parts sales through the dealer in Troy now last time I called the factory. I've just decided to start lists then make a run to the factory unless it's an emergency part need. Might be a slight mileage problem for you to do that...

Yeah, I'll have to order the new skylight cover from the Troy facility.
I'm betting shipping is gonna be almost as much as the part - maybe Wally World has one.
Glad to hear that Sid (if that is the repair guy you mentioned) found other employment -he's a great guy and has been very helpful to us over the past few years. He was one of the reasons we bought an AS! The sales guy (Nick) was great too - what a pair they are!
We like to make a trip to JC every couple of years - we wind up spending as much in the store as we do in the service department!

That's the problem with that set up. For us, it was bad enough paying Caldwell the the shipping from the factory to them - then picking up the parts. Now your going to get a double shipping charge - factory to Troy then again to you....
