Now I have seen it all...

Welcome To*Airstream & RV Restoration

This site is charging $20.00 just to be able to see their repair/restoration work. I cannot understand why anyone would pay a fee to view a company's prior work, not can I imagine why any company thinks that they should charge potential customers.

Can someone figure this out?

Steve

i checked out this site and for the record they mis-spelled receive wrong more than once. they didn't invert the e and the i, they didn't use an e at all. they spelled receive "recive"! now i ask you, if they don't even take enough care to check out such blatant spelling errors, would you even trust their work? they obviously have no attention to detail!

The web site is so bad, why would you want to look further? I think it's a phishing scam.

i agree, i thought the same thing. it seems too bad to be real. and, one of the first things to watch for is bad spelling. also the request for money for what ought to be free advertising sets off alarms. if it is real (which i dount) they don't deserve any customers and have some nerve charging for examples of their work which is supposed to make you want to hire them. don't walk, RUN!!! this is just bad!

This site is actually listed on several site for airstream restoration.

I also noticed horrific errors in spelling and grammer.

Spelling? Grammar? Flagrant use of run-on sentences??? Let me at 'em.

Now my posts can get sloppy, but I would be nervous doing business with an outfit with such a poorly developed web page. I guess they scope out the Forum and I hope get the message. My husband agrees that they are probably a scam.

It has been fun watching everyone get riled up though!

I agree wholeheartedly! If there is anything on the other side of that fee I would be surprised!

Marc

Terry! You've changed your signature! Can I have the old one? - it's brilliant!

Probably not too far out of line
For comparison pricing check out Camp-Inn or Cozy Cruiser

They are reputable companies, any one off item is going to be expensive for a variety of reasons. But I also agree that the web page reeks of incompetence and I too would seriously wonder what I was getting for my money.

I wonder if the site owner/operator got permission from Airstream to use the 25' SS SE picture that was taken and modified.

At least with the two companies you provided, I can see the quality in their work, and can see what I am getting for my money. Not that I want a teardrop, but if I did I would be going with the T@B!

Send the site owner an e-mail and offer to fix all the spelling and grammer errors for $25 (not that I'm perfect...). That and not charging for pictures might vastly improve their business.
