Northern Virginia Storage Facilities

Can any of our NoVa participants who use storage facilities comment on their experiences, or favorites? I am moving to the McLean area (going to live out in Stone Ridge near Aldie) from Richmond and need to relocate my Airstream storage location. I would rather store it in Prince William County so as to not get hit with the annual taxes in Fairfax or Loudon.

For the moment I have a shoehorn reservation at Holly Acres storage, but want to hear if anyone stores at Bull Run Regional Park or the Prince William Fairgrounds. While Holly Acres is secured, etc., the "last spot" they had is fairly crap and involves backing into a decline that quickly ravines; and in a tight jackknife required position.

I understand the request is extremely targeted and specific; but if anyone has other options in the NoVa area, let me know (heck, anyone have a yard willing to loan/let space out? :-P )

A quick trip report for the benefit of future searches, the Prince William Fair Grounds is solid - level lots, while on grass, the management is fine if you want to enhance the rental area - paving slabs, full gravel, etc. currently $55/mo if you pay quarterly, it is lit and accessible 24/7 - though the groundsman does warn on major fair days (Labor Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, etc.), when 30,000 are coming onto site, getting out on the private storage access can be a problem. The spaces have five foot air gaps on each side, so that's ten feet between units; and allows for those with slides to keep them extended and not impinge on space available to neighbors. The groundsman reports in the five years he's been here, no issues with crime, lost batteries or propane tanks, etc. you are fine to do maintenance on site.

Edit: Southern Hospitality from the entire staff. My new name is Hun'.
