New 2011 Value

I have just come across a new 2011 23 Flying Cloud with the corner bed. What would be a reasonable offer or what % discount could be expected and will a dealer typically make sure that everything is up to snuff given that the unit has been sitting so long?

Any advise is appreciated!

From reading on this forum I would expect 20-25% off MSRP for a 2 year old new trailer.

As for everything being up to snuff, you should inspect the trailer like you are buying a used one, the dealer should fix everything but don't expect them to look very hard. I have read that they can't fix anything under warranty until someone owns the trailer (very stupid policy since it hurts sales and costs Airstream more money, I guess Airstream thinks dealers will makeup problems to scam them).

If it's perfect no less than 25%. That's what I got on my first Airstream a few years ago.

I wouldn't buy it though because it is essentially a used trailer with a new warranty, You can get up to 15% off an actual new one ordered from the factory exacrtly the way you want it.

There have been important improvements in trailer quality and equipment the last two years. Don't miss them.

The two year old trailer has been used by tire-kickers and rv shows, and exposed to the elements without care. Corrosion and shortened sealant, tire, converter, and battery life can be expected.

This is a dog compared to a factory-fresh trailer.

I got 20% off a new 2013 special order; so wouldn't take it for anything less than 30% off.
