Have contacted the dealer you bought it from? You said you "just bought it" ... it may be that this was an ad placed by the dealer... they often do that to generate some free exposure.

hahaha fun times. thanks for your help, folks, appreciated.

araag... the ad was posted on like, every city's page.. what a pain in the keister of reporting them all...thank you, google. fortunatley the site has been very promt in removing them, only a few are lingering today, even with the perp's re-posting of some of them. ill be keeping my eyes open.

unfortunately, it wasnt an ad posted by the dealer, seeing as how i doubt theyd be letting a $30k trailer go for 7k..or less.

i sent the seller a few messages of my own. doubt theyll be read... it just blows my mind. i dont anyone using my baby as their bait!

It's an obvious scam, by a hacker. I emailed, acted interested, got the usual reply of "I'm on vacation, the trailer is in Ebay custody, send me 1/2 the money as deposit right now, blahblah." The only thing of interest here is the question "How can these thieves be tracked and taken off the market?" Or is the internet so permeable, so unable to track hacked accounts, that this kind of thing is unstoppable? Just seems like something as sophisiticated as internet code would be able to discern discrepancies, irregularities, etc in the content and find it's source. I mean, these scams have so many red flags it's ridiculous!! That said, I was a victim of a real-life investment scam recently, and know that red flags can be obscured by greed, laziness, wishful thinking, etc. At least in my case, the perp is going on trial in about 2 weeks!
